No Longer/Not Yet

Quiet an amazing experience I had today! I must say I adore fashion exhibitions; they are like an eye candy, they inspire! This time Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele and LOVE magazine stylist and editor Katie Grand have brought a true fashion untimely exhibition to Minsheng Art Museum. Artists from all over the world try to answer the question “What is contemporary?” The answer to which, by the way, I still haven’t found. But just think for a second how successful designers have to stop living in present and have to think about future, to predict what people are going to wear in next season.

I loved seeing works of famous British photographer Glen Luchford and portraits by Helen Downie aka “Unskilled Worker”. More than that, to have a chance to examine Gucci Fall 2015 fine pieces was a total blast! But no more words, I want to share with you some of my favourite photos!

Girl of the month. Jenna Lyons

She will inspire you to rock sequins in the daytime and mix prints and patterns, experiment and take risks! Jenna Lyons is a person who turned J Crew into a cult brand. She brought style and creativity to the brand though I wouldn’t comment on quality or prices… Today we are talking about Jenna’s style. Wearing cargo pants with heels, leopard and floral prints, nerdy glasses and tuxedos… Jenna can pull off anything!  I love boy/girl vibe that Jenna has in a lot of her outfits, now I’ve been itching to add an androgynous element to my wardrobe. So, look and enjoy!

The power of red

I have always considered red to be very powerful colour. And more than that I’m afraid to wear it. Wearing red means making a statement and being noticed and somehow I always try to avoid it. Though this season I feel very inspired by all the street style photos so I will definitely add red to my daily life. Besides red is so fun to style and it combines well with so many colours. I guess my personal favourite combo will be navy blue and red, but I’m sure I will have more of them in the future. So I’m totally getting ready to rock red this season.

XOXO from Shanghai
