Saloni Spring 2016 RTW collection is a true celebration of femininity. London based designer with Indian roots, Saloni Lodha proved once more that she is a master in creating print dresses. Midi skirts, one shoulder dresses, tunics, culottes, ruffled pieces – this collection has everything to make a woman look and feel graceful and feminine. All the items in this collection are quite versatile, wearable and totally ready to make their owner gorgeous!!!
Are you going to wear ruffles this season? I definitely will, as ruffles is my favourite spring trend. I am inspired to be feminine this season, not a chance for something like sport chic!!! My perfect romantic ruffled outfit will consist of pink Chloe silk dress, Rupert Sanderson flowers sandals and Chloe Bolso Drew bag in beige and brown colour. Though on the S/S runaways ruffles were more powerful and statement, I am willing to put as much cutesy and romanticism in it as possible.
Without our past we will not have future… and oh My, we do have what to look back at. This time let’s go 20 years back and watch the chunks of fashion from 1996. What was in fashion 20 years ago? – Gucci had the sexiest campaigns ever (with Tom Ford as creative director), Dolce & Gabbana didn’t change a lot since 1996, Kate Moss. Naomi Campbell, Amber Valletta and Cindy Crawford were the queens of the modeling world, Alexander McQueen dazzled the world with theatrical and very strong collections. In 1996 fashion was interesting and sophisticated and even now, 20 years later, we get inspired by it.
Ruffles have always been a big thing on the runaways and seems that we are going to see a lot of them this season. I think you will agree that we all got used to see ruffles as a part of a romantic or classic looks but street style photos can inspire us to take a little bit different direction. Ruffles can make you feel more feminine, they can be a part of your casual look, they can be even used in sport chic outfit. Why not? Fashion is fun, so let’s play!
Rebecca Minkoff is one of my favourite designers and there are two reasons for that: everything that Rebecca creates is of high quality and her things are actually affordable. More than that, Rebecca Minkoff is a very wearable brand which can be easily brought to our everyday lives. Every single item from Rebecca’s collection is very fun to style. How will you wear this moto jacket?
