After eight years of living in Shanghai I finally visited Hong Kong and the reason couldn’t be merrier – New Year.
Frankly speaking, I could name around one hundred reasons to love France! I’m in love with this country, yes, yes, and I truly admit it!!! So let’s start with just ten reasons …..
I completely realise that coming to a new place as a tourist and living there is absolutely different thing and leaves different impression. As a tourist you usually don’t notice all the negative sides. But to me it seems that Paris doesn’t have any minuses. How is it even possible not to love this city??? City which inspires you with it’s every building, every corner. Vintage shops, flower markets, small cafes, art places, fountains, squares…everything has it’s own unique Parisian charm. And people….people in Paris are without any doubt the most stylish individuals I’ve ever seen. Being effortlessly chic without stylists and spending hours choosing your outfit is a challenge, but Parisians definitely succeed!!!
What can I say, I love Paris!!!!!!
So apparently dreams do come true! As some of you know I’ve been dreaming to go to France for ages!!! But it all seemed so unreal ( as I live in another part of the world ). But this year I decided to work hard to make it come true. And here we are: I spend almost 10 amazing days in France!
I heard a lot of different opinions about Paris but in reality it appeared to be even better than in my dreams. I was super lucky to experience a great weather with amazingly blue sky! I stayed with my friends and had a chance to live a real French life for a couple of days:)) To me Paris became a city of very stylish people, amazing food ( oh, those fresh croissants in the mornings!!!), breathtaking architecture, romance and art! Paris is a city where people LIVE and enjoy their lives, they don’t seem to hurry. I realised I could spend the whole day just walking around Paris without knowing where to go and just ENJOY!!! Will tell you more details in the next post.
Don’t be afraid to dream and always go towards your dreams!
XOXO from Shanghai
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is definitely one of the most spectacular places I have ever visited. Zhangjiajie is a city situated in Hunan province and it’s famous for it’s “Avatar” mountains. Remember those flying rocks from Pandora? They were inspired by Zhangjiajie. I was honoured to attend my very good friend’s wedding which was in Harmona Resort & Spa.
It was an amazing traditional Chinese wedding about which I will tell you later. Let’s come back to the park. I had a plenty of time to explore the surrounding areas. My first impression that I got is “Oh God, this park is huge”….literally!! I spent there 3 days and seems that I saw just about 30 percent. Second impression was that paying 40$ for 3 days pass is totally worth it! Park is super well maintained. Well it’s THAT maintained, that some ladies come there in high heels! There are food stalls, toilets and rest places every 15-20 minutes, which is a big plus in such a gigantic place.
If you are planning to travel in China, here is the most important rule !!!!! Avoid days off, holidays and weekends otherwise get ready to line up for 3-4 hours to get to a sightseeing spot! Anyway, if you will have any other questions, I will answer them with a great pleasure.
